Sandi Wants All Market Merchants in Jakarta Registered in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno wants all market merchants in Jakarta are registered in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Thus he wants to intensify the socialization.

If not registered yet, they can register for it immediately

Sandi said, those who are registered as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will automatically get social security. Thus Jakarta Provincial Government through PD. Pasar Jaya will intensify its cooperation with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

"Later on, we want to monitor it continuously and ensure worker safety can be felt through from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan," he stated while attending Sadar Jaminan Sosial Ketenagakerjaan Pedagang event at Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta, Monday (4/23).

He explained, his side currently chooses Kramat Jati Market and Tanah Abang Market to be markets that aware of employment social security.

"It is still two markets. We want economy power in markets become more conducive through participation in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan," he conveyed.

He added, merchants also need to check their membership status in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. "If not registered yet, they can register for it immediately," he mentioned.
